Privacy Policy

1. Introduction

StudySzn ("we," "our," or "us") operates StudySzn QuickMark ("QuickMark"), an AI-assisted marking product for teachers and tuition centres, based in Singapore. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, store, and protect information when you use QuickMark at quickmark.studyszn.com.

By using QuickMark, you agree to this Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the service.

2. Information We Collect

We collect only what we need to operate QuickMark:

• Account information: name and email from Google sign-in (via our authentication provider), and your QuickMark access role.
• Teacher workspace content: marking jobs, rubrics / mark schemes, uploaded or imported student script PDFs, scores, annotations, and related progress logs.
• Contact / lead information: if you submit a demo or contact form (e.g. name, email, organisation, message).
• Technical logs: basic operational logs needed to secure and debug the service (e.g. timestamps, error messages).

3. Google Classroom and Google Drive

If you choose to connect Google Classroom, QuickMark requests limited Google permissions so you can import student submissions into a marking job. Depending on what you authorize, this may include:

• Listing your Classroom courses and assignments.
• Viewing turned-in / returned student submissions and roster information (e.g. student name, email where available).
• Downloading Drive files attached to those submissions (typically PDFs, or Google Docs/Slides exported to PDF) so they can be stored in your QuickMark workspace and marked.

We store an encrypted OAuth refresh token linked to your QuickMark user so we can import on your behalf until you disconnect. We do not use Classroom or Drive access to browse your personal Drive for unrelated files, send email, or modify Classroom grades (unless a future feature you explicitly enable says otherwise).

You can disconnect Google Classroom from QuickMark at any time (job page → Import from Google Classroom → Disconnect). You may also revoke access in your Google Account third-party permissions.

4. How We Use Information

• To provide AI-assisted marking and teacher review workflows.
• To authenticate you, enforce access roles (e.g. beta / premium / admin), and secure your workspace.
• To import Classroom submissions you select into your marking jobs.
• To respond to demos, support requests, and product updates.
• To maintain, troubleshoot, and improve the service.

We do not sell your personal data or student scripts to third parties for advertising.

5. Processors and Subprocessors

We use trusted infrastructure and AI providers to run QuickMark (for example cloud hosting, database/auth, object storage, and model / agent providers). They process data only to provide those services to us and are bound by contractual confidentiality and security obligations where applicable.

Student scripts and marking outputs are stored in our secured cloud storage associated with your organisation / account. Shared marking links use unguessable tokens; treat those links as confidential.

6. Retention

We retain account, job, and script data for as long as your organisation uses QuickMark or as needed to provide the service, resolve disputes, and meet legal obligations. You may request deletion of your account data by contacting us; we will delete or anonymize personal data except where we must retain it by law.

7. Security

We use industry-standard measures such as encrypted transport (HTTPS), access controls, and encrypted storage of Google OAuth refresh tokens. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure; please use a strong Google account and disconnect integrations you no longer need.

8. Children and students

QuickMark is intended for teachers and institutions. Student work is processed only when a teacher or authorised staff member uploads or imports it. Schools and centres remain responsible for obtaining any parental or institutional consents required under applicable law (including Singapore PDPA where relevant).

9. Your rights

Subject to applicable law, you may request access to, correction of, or deletion of personal data we hold about you. Teachers control workspace content they own; contact us if you need help exporting or removing data.

10. Changes

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The "Last updated" date at the top will change when we do. Continued use of QuickMark after an update means you accept the revised policy.
