Terms of Service

1. Acceptance of Terms

Welcome to StudySzn QuickMark ("QuickMark," "we," "our," or "us"), operated by StudySzn. By accessing or using quickmark.studyszn.com or related services, you agree to these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree, do not use QuickMark.

2. The Service

QuickMark provides AI-assisted tools for teachers to create marking jobs, upload or import student scripts, review AI-generated feedback, edit scores/annotations, and share finalized feedback. Features may change as we improve the product.

We may modify, suspend, or discontinue any part of the service with reasonable notice where practicable.

3. Accounts and Access

• You must sign in with an authorised Google account and hold a valid QuickMark membership (e.g. beta, premium, or admin) where required.
• You are responsible for activity under your account and for keeping access credentials secure.
• Access may be invite-only. We may revoke access for misuse, non-payment (if applicable), or security reasons.

4. Teacher Responsibilities

• You are responsible for the accuracy of final marks and feedback returned to students. AI output is assistive and must be reviewed before finalization.
• You must have the right to upload or import student scripts and mark schemes you use (including Classroom submissions).
• You must comply with your school / centre policies and applicable law (including data protection) when processing student work.

5. Google Classroom Import

Optional Google Classroom integration lets you import submission files into QuickMark. By connecting, you authorize us to access Classroom and Drive data only as described in our Privacy Policy and only for the import features you use.

Google's terms also apply to your use of Google products. QuickMark is not affiliated with or endorsed by Google except as a third-party app using Google APIs.

6. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

• Abuse, overload, or attempt to break the service or its APIs.
• Upload unlawful, harmful, or infringing content, or scripts you are not authorised to process.
• Share private marking links or student data outside authorised recipients.
• Reverse engineer the service except where permitted by law, or use QuickMark to build a competing product from our outputs in violation of these Terms.

7. Intellectual Property

QuickMark software, branding, and product design are owned by StudySzn or its licensors. You retain rights in your own mark schemes and student materials you provide; you grant us a limited licence to host and process them solely to provide the service.

8. Fees

Some plans may be free (e.g. beta) or paid. If paid pricing applies, we will communicate fees, billing, and cancellation terms separately. Unpaid invoices may result in suspension of access.

9. Disclaimer

QuickMark is provided "as is" to the fullest extent permitted by law. We do not warrant that AI marking will be error-free or suitable for unreviewed high-stakes assessment. Teachers remain responsible for professional judgment.

10. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, StudySzn shall not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or loss of profits, data, or goodwill, arising from your use of QuickMark. Our aggregate liability for claims relating to the service is limited to the fees you paid us for QuickMark in the twelve (12) months before the claim (or SGD 100 if none).

11. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Singapore. Courts of Singapore have exclusive jurisdiction over disputes arising from these Terms, subject to any mandatory consumer protections that cannot be waived.

12. Changes

We may update these Terms from time to time. The "Last updated" date will change when we do. Continued use after an update constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
